Previous PaPi conferences
The PaPI conference series started in 2003 as a joint effort by Gorka Elordieta (Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea, Spain), Maria João Freitas (Universidade de Lisboa, Portugal), Sónia Frota (Universidade de Lisboa, Portugal), Pilar Prieto (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Spain; presently, Universitat Pompeu Fabra), Maria-Josep Solé (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Spain) and Marina Vigário (Universidade do Minho, Portugal; presently, Universidade de Lisboa). The goal of the PaPI conferences has always been that of bringing together researchers interested in all areas of phonetics and phonology, with a special focus on laboratory phonology work, providing an interdiciplinary forum in Europe for research on the sound properties of language.
